How to Flash a Cricket Phone

To flash a Cricket cell phone means to rewrite or overwrite the firmware on the phone, which means you can make a phone on one carrier work with another.  There is some question about the legality of flashing a phone, but typically it works well for those who own the phone and who are switching carriers.

You can flash a Cricket cell phone using software you download online.  There are many free flash programs you can get online from different sites.  Typically you run the software and then plug your phone into the computer through your USB port.  Then you simply follow the instructions on the program in order to assist you.  It will often tell you how to program the phone in order to flash it; typically you'll see a "Read Me" document in the program that will walk you through step by step for this particular program.
